Oliver, in search of a home

Hi folks,

Oliver here again.  I have been keeping busy, chasing balls, taking walks, playing with my dog buddies, but I am searching for my own forever home.  My foster parents tell me I am a bundle of joy, easy to train, and patient with them.  I am continuing to learn hand signals – I am deaf, but that doesn’t mean I don’t bark!  In fact I am quite vocal, especially at meal time.  I am living in Wisconsin – enjoying the winter and the snow.  Do you like my new photos?  I require a loving home, I don’t do well with cats or small children (both of them are unpredictable) and at least a 5 foot fence.  I am a great walker and would make a wonderful companion.

Oliver, aka The Little Guy

Hi!  Oliver here, I’m getting ready for my first taste of snow here in Wisconsin.  The weather guy on television tells my foster mom and dad that the snow is coming in heavy tonight – dad has the ‘snowblower’ ready, I guess once it gets here he blows it around.  Not sure how that works, but I can help him.  Dad says I’m a big help to him.  It’s getting pretty cold too – the weather guy says it will be 10 degrees tomorrow night.  I’m excited to see what happens when it gets that cold!

Oliver 2Oliver      Meet Oliver…a cute, healthy, English Setter looking for a forever home.  Oliver was found as a stray, unfortunately he was heartworm positive and needed treatment.  Our English Setter Rescue took him in and found him a foster home in Wisconsin, outside of Madison.  He received his treatment (long process, make sure your dogs take preventative!) and is now healthy and looking for his forever home!  He is a happy go lucky little guy, loves to play fetch, gets along fine with other dogs, and is never bothered by a vacuum cleaner because he doesn’t hear it.  Yes, he is very hard of hearing.  We are communicating with him through hand signals and he has caught on to them beautifully.  He is anxious to please and very treat motivated.

Oliver would be a wonderful friend, companion or BFF.  He does require a physical fence due to lack of hearing.
